I have wanted to create an outfit post since I got back to California, but it's been pouring rain all week! Today I'd had enough, bundled up, and wandered out into the cold, wet and foggy weather so I could post something fashion related because it's been too long!
If you are going to buy one thing during the numerous winter sales that are going on right now I recommend a colored coat. I got this blue one for Christmas and I love it! I also have my eye on a few powder pink ones, but I love the idea of having a big pop of color during the winter when neutrals are so abundant. Why should we only have fun with color in the spring and summer?
I definitely took advantage of the sale going on at Nordstrom right now and grabbed this "blanket" scarf for under $12!! I don't have a single scarf in this color and the huge plaid makes it so easy to wear with just about anything I put on! It isn't a square, though, so just keep that in mind while shopping! It does come in a more neutral color pairing, but like I said above: embrace color! Throw on some fun accessories (I can't get enough of these earrings and this watch!) and make even the dreariest day happy and bright!
