March means it's time for spring! Spring break, spring flowers, springing forward!

This month's fashion inspiration is all about springing into warmer weather and some fun outdoor adventures (ones that I can look cute while doing, of course). I'm looking forward to some wine tasting, brunch on the patio and shopping in my favorite outdoor malls. For all of these, I want to have some cute go-to outfits for all of these weekend trips!

Gingham was all over the runways last year, but brands are still sticking to this classic print. If you didn't take advantage or you didn't get enough of it *raises hand* this year is your chance! Dress it up, dress it down or add some nautical accessories, no matter how it's styled you're going to look great. Plus, it's way easier to wear than stripes.

Florals are completely cliche, but who doesn't feel gorgeous in a feminine, floral dress. I've got my eye on the Free People one, but I know any of these would look amazing with some strappy sandals and one of the structured bags.

Anyone else loving this bag from Sole Society? It looks so much like the YSL Sac du Jour!

Just before the summer months when all of our skin gets hit with sun, sand and salt, now is a great time to start implementing and great nighttime routine. I already love and use the Clinique eye cream, but for everything else I've read so many reviews and can't wait to give them a try!

What are you looking forward to this month?

Love you lots,

A little bit of Gingham!

Happy International Women's Day to all the amazing, strong and gorgeous women out there!!

Today, more than usual, I am thinking about all the amazing women in my life and thanking all those who have passed for the work they've done to allow me to be who I am today. I am going to be working all day, but I'm happy to share a #whatwomenwear outfit.

This outfit is one of my favorites because it's cute, but totally functional. I love to dress up and get glam, but on an everyday basis this is more my speed. Gingham was huge last spring and it seems to be a pretty popular choice again this year. It's a trend that I love and I'm planning to add a few more pieces to my wardrobe as the weather warms up (check tomorrow's post for a few cute options).

Every woman needs a great pair of jeans and while I continue to shop for the perfect cropped, raw-hemmed pair these are my go-to pair. The wash is dark enough to dress up, but light enough to still be on trend. They fit true to size so you can order them online without worrying about returns!

If you need a transition outfit as the spring blossoms start to bloom then this is the way to go!

Love you lots,

You Make Me Blush!

Free People Pink Top || Levi 721 jeans || Older Tory Burch Flats (try these!) ||
Rebecca Minkoff Bag (Similar here & here) || J. Crew Earrings ||
BaubleBar Ring (Try this one!) || LORAC Alter Ego Lipgloss ||

What do you get when you combine a cute pink sweater, your comfiest jeans and a pair of Tory flats? The perfect brunch outfit, which is exactly where I wore this look!

In the last few months since I bought this top I've worn it on repeat. Imagine this same outfit and switch out the accessories. It's comfy, easy to throw on and go and it looks super cute in every combination. If you like more fitted clothing than maybe this top isn't for you, but if you're like me and love a good loose fitting top then this Free People one is for you. It comes in a few colors, but I immediately knew I needed it in the blush!

If you're looking for a great pair of jeans, I would definitely reccommend these Levi 721s. They come in so many washes and fit like a dream. I also love the 711 style, but these are high waisted and look great with the split back of the sweater.

Every magazine that I've picked up in the last few weeks has been talking non-stop about statement earrings. This look is replacing the statement necklace for the coming seasons and I couldn't be more excited. These J. Crew sequin floral earrings are my new favorite pair. They're leather backed, but not super heavy. They add an instant girly vibe to every look. I personally am obsessed with the white ones, but check out all the different color options because they are all super cute!

Posh in Portland

This look all started with the shoes. I've been loving these booties since I was at home over Thanksgiving. My mom (a styling genius) was looking to update a pair of black shoes and I stumbled upon this pair of booties by Kendall + Kylie helping her look for the perfect pair. While I didn't need another pair of black booties and they weren't in the style my mom was looking for, the tan color really caught both of our attention. (Plus, they also come in oxblood if that's more to your styling preference.) I love the unique heel design, the narrow ankle and exaggerated pointed toe, they're just super cool, but also a great basic to have. Fast forward to the January sales and I found them at an amazing price.

As someone with very long legs I've always found styling a slightly taller ankle boot problematic. My real jeans and pants are too long, but most crop styles are wayyyy too cropped. So what's a girl to do? My tip for you is to turn to a great pair of suede(ette) leggings. I grabbed this pair from my friends at Cake Plate in Napa, but there are so many styles available. This pair has a cool zipper detail at the ankle, but for this look I simply cuffed them under to shorten the leg and show off my shoes. You could also stick with a great midi skirt for the perfect styling, but it was a little too cold in Portland for light and flowy looks.

Last, but definitely not least, if you need a white top (and let's be honest everyone does) go pick this one up from Nordstrom. It's on sale right now and I wear mine constantly. It looks awesome dressed up with trousers, skirts or black denim and pumps, but looks just as great dressed down and tucked into a pair of distressed denim shorts. It comes in a ton of colors and will quickly become one of your closet go-tos! It's definitely one of mine!

Wishing for Spring

One || Two || Three || Four || Five || Six ||
Seven || Eight || Nine || Ten || Eleven ||

I love Fall/Winter fashion and I am not quite ready to give up my cozy sweaters, but I am starting to crave some warmer weather. I also really want to take a tropical vacation so while I sit on my couch in a Patagonia fleece, my fave Zella leggings and moccasins, I am creating a list of all the items I can't wait to add to my wardrobe. Maybe, just maybe, I'll get to wear some of them walking in the sand and soaking up the sun. Well, I can dream can't I?

 I'm loving everything blush right now, but while I'm thinking ahead white and blue keep catching my attention. I like the crispness of the two colors and how lightweight and effortless the combination feels. There's just something so summery about a crisp white dress and a splash of blue. I am so wanting to go get a pedicure and fall back in love with white polish. Then again I should probably get a tan first!!

As for shoes — hands down my favorite thing to shop for — I am loving these strappy sandals. Last year I loved these Sam Edelman sandals (they're on sale now!!), but the style and color are something I'm looking at again this year. Jeffrey Campbell's Rodillo wedges have been popular for the last two years, but I'm so happy I didn't give into temptation last summer. While super similar, I love the Rayos version so much more! I love a wedge or a chunky heel, so I can wear them all day.

What trends are you excited about? What's on your Wednesday wish list?

Love you lots,
