March Inspiration!

March means it's time for spring! Spring break, spring flowers, springing forward!

This month's fashion inspiration is all about springing into warmer weather and some fun outdoor adventures (ones that I can look cute while doing, of course). I'm looking forward to some wine tasting, brunch on the patio and shopping in my favorite outdoor malls. For all of these, I want to have some cute go-to outfits for all of these weekend trips!

Gingham was all over the runways last year, but brands are still sticking to this classic print. If you didn't take advantage or you didn't get enough of it *raises hand* this year is your chance! Dress it up, dress it down or add some nautical accessories, no matter how it's styled you're going to look great. Plus, it's way easier to wear than stripes.

Florals are completely cliche, but who doesn't feel gorgeous in a feminine, floral dress. I've got my eye on the Free People one, but I know any of these would look amazing with some strappy sandals and one of the structured bags.

Anyone else loving this bag from Sole Society? It looks so much like the YSL Sac du Jour!

Just before the summer months when all of our skin gets hit with sun, sand and salt, now is a great time to start implementing and great nighttime routine. I already love and use the Clinique eye cream, but for everything else I've read so many reviews and can't wait to give them a try!

What are you looking forward to this month?

Love you lots,

Stocking Stuffers For Her!

One || Two || Three || Four || Five || Six || Seven || Eight ||
Nine || Ten || Eleven || Twelve || Thirteen || Fourteen || Fifteen ||

I love giving gifts! Searching out the perfect thing for everyone on your list is so much fun for me. My favorite part of gift giving, though, isn't the big presents under the tree or the brown paper packages tied up with string — it's the stocking.

Curating a stocking full of your loved ones favorite things is such a personal way to give a gift! I've talked on my blog before about making gift bags full of a bunch of small gifts and I think that's always spurred from my love of building stockings at Christmas! You could definitely do a stocking in lieu of a big gift and they make brilliant Secret Santa or hostess gifts.

I love color coordinating the contents (this pink shade is huge right now) or following a theme (a stocking for coffee lovers is always a hit!). It helps make the stocking and the gifts more cohesive and definitely makes it easier to shop for while sifting through all the stuff in stores right now. Of course, you can go totally eclectic, too! I love this brightly colored stocking and would love to fill it with a bunch of whimsical, colorful gifts!

Basically, the opportunities are endless, but the outcome will always be the perfect, personalized gift!

Happy Holidays!

Gilmore Watch Party!!

OH MY GOSH! My fellow Gilmore Girls, we are so close to six more hours of our favorite kooky characters and the most charming town we've ever dreamed of living in! So in anticipation I've come up with a list of things to make your Netflixing a little more Gilmore-approved.

First you will need snacks and lots of them! I have a bit of a sweet tooth so Mallomars are near the top of my list, but buckets of popcorn, potato chips, pretzels and tater tots fresh from the sock warmer ... I mean, oven ... are also a must. I also recommend stocking up on take-out menus and updating Postmates (an app I am positive the girls would love!). The more food you have around you and the more takeout boxes in the fridge the better! Serve some of your treats on your new poodle tray for a cute look. And eat a Mallomar every time someone says, "Oy with the poodles already!"

It wouldn't be Gilmore without a ton of coffee. Pick up a travel mug so you're coffee stays warm and make sure it's cute or Lorelai wouldn't approve. Brew a pot or two because I'm sure you'll need it to stay up for all four of these amazing episodes, especially if you're waiting up for the very second they're launched.

While I don't plan on sitting and watching these episodes all in one go, I know some of you are planning on doing just that! Keep yourself busy with a face mask and a pedicure because everybody knows that private school girls are bad. And bad girls always wear red nail polish.

That brings us to your attire! You'll need to be cozy and there's nothing better than a flannel shirt. I mean just ask Luke. This sleep shirt will look cute and keep you comfy no matter how many episodes you decide to watch. Add in these super cute headphones to keep out any distractions. The fast talking is back and you don't want to miss a single pun, pop culture reference or God-forbid a plot point!

I attended a Q&A with Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino a week ago and hearing them talk about these four episodes got me even more excited. I'd never give insight to the scenes they showed because that wouldn't be fair to you all, but let's just say you will not be disappointed! I can't wait for Friday to get here!! Copper Boom!

Love you lots,

Holy Grail Travel Products!

I love to travel, but I hate forgetting products when I'm packing. So before I left for my trip I went to Target and Ulta and stocked up on all the products that I have to have in my suitcase! Hopefully, you can add one of these to your travel bag this summer. I promise you won't be disappointed!

What are some of your holy grail travel products?

Love you lots,

May Favorites & Birthday Haul!

Other Kendra Scott Earrings I love here & here ||

Hope you all had an amazing month! May went by so fast!! I think it's because I was out of town so much, but I did manage to find some new products that I've been a tad obsessed with over the last 30 days. I tried not to do too much shopping because my birthday was at the end of the month, but I might have treated myself to a few new things. Plus, my parents are so amazing and generous and really spoiled me on my birthday!

I'd love to hear about the products that you're loving. Let me know in the comments!

Hope you're having a great summer so far!

Love you lots,

PopSugar Product Review

Body Wash Infused Buffer || Gaiam Yoga Mat (IT'S ON SALE!) ||

May has been so crazy and on a very stressful day I arrived home with this box sitting on my porch. I planned to do a product review video for this box, so instead of setting it aside and saving it I opened the box and was greeted by a ton of products to help me relax! It really was the most perfect timing!

I've already used all of these products (Obviously! I had to review them) and I do have some favorites!! I loved the snack bar because I am always looking for a good healthy treat! The peanut butter flavor was so yummy. I realize that they are pretty expensive for a box, but I might splurge so I have some healthy snacks to throw in my bag this summer!

I also love the bracelets. I am not exaggerating when I say I've worn them everyday since I got them. They go great with my casual summer outfits and I love the little tassels! Plus, they seem like one of those super unique products that you picked up on a vacation!

Then I also really like the Breathe Deeply Spritz! I checked and there's a Sweet Dreams Darling version that I might also pick up. I love essential oils and I'd love to have a calming nighttime spray, too!

Let me know which product you like the most!

Love you lots,

Catching Up!

I've been on the run for what seems like the last month. There's always something to do and somewhere to be and my to-do list just gets longer and longer. So I am giving you an update on what I've been up to via some Insta posts

These booties were featured in my favorites video last month! I found them at Target and they've been a staple in my closet ever since. I love the relaxed look and the cutout back makes them perfect for the spring and summer.

I've been rocking a lot of pink lipstick in the last few weeks! These are three that I just added to my collection. They're currently living in the bottom of my purse because I take them with me all the time. I also just got hooked on the Lancome Juicy Shakers, but I still went for a pinky/coral shade.

I've been feeling like baking and doing some DIYs! These are my current inspiration books. Hopefully, this weekend I will have a chance to do some serious creating!

Flamingo Clutch (sold out, try this one!)  || MK Watch || Link Bracelet || Essie Polish ||

Although the weather here in Napa has been crazy bipolar and still pretty chilly, I've been wearing a lot of bright pieces to liven up the sweaters I keep wearing into work!

Another shoe staple from the past month. I've worn them in blog posts (here, here) and of course they were in a favorites video! I've seen these in every color they have for sale on Instagram, so I know a lot of you love them, too! They're so comfy and add a cute touch to every outfit!

Tanning may be bad for your skin, but soaking up a little Vitamin D is my favorite way to relax. Nothing puts me in a better mood than some homemade lemonade, a great playlist, and a warm day!

I ordered a few new accessories from Francesca's and I can't wait to take this hat out for a weekend adventure. I can't forget about the mug, of course, it's been my go-to Sunday mug for when I work on the blog posts for the week ahead. (Unfortunately, I've been out of town every weekend so my upload schedule has gone a little crazy!!)

If you feel the need to treat yourself order a Diptyque candle. They are a little pricey, but the fragrances and lasting power of these gorgeous candles is so worth it! We ended up with the Baies candle in the colored jar! Apparently, it's one of Diptyque's most popular scents. My favorite scent is without a doubt 34, but I've also got my eye on the Eau Rose Eau de Toilette.

I took off on a little excursion to the Central Coast. Went to a party and got to see my bestie! Plus, these Karen Walker sunglasses were screaming for a selfie.

This is one of my favorite teas! We picked it up last time we were in New York. If you're in or around Brooklyn I recommend checking out their shop. It was absolutely beautiful!

This is my favorite outfit of the moment! I love this top. It pairs so well with jeans and these booties! I threw an oversized gray sweater on top of it to stay warm. Plus the retro dots are a perfect match for some oversized gold jewelry!

I've been so on the go that running errands has super been necessary, but also not a frequent thing! To make it through my to-do list a coffee was definitely needed and so was a watch to keep me on track and on schedule.

A trip to Sephora left me with a few new products! I also finally got brave enough to try the Brow Envy kit that has been sitting in my makeup drawer for a few months. April was all about trying a few new summer looks. That includes going back to my curly hair!!

April showers bring May flowers! I've made sure that while I'm home I have fresh flowers on the dining room table. They just make me smile in the morning (so does the Nespresso machine)! I also love lighting this Lemon Verbena candle in the kitchen. It's a great clean fragrance.

And since April was a crazy few weeks that just flew by a relaxing bubble bath was necessary. I ran into Lush while I was in San Luis Obispo and grabbed a few bath bombs! I know it's not the right way to use them, but my tub is so small I usually break them into two so they last longer. I live so far from the nearest Lush so a girl's got a do, what a girl's got to do in the name of a good bubble bath.

Follow me on Instagram and Twitter for even more Magnolias and Sunlight!

April Favs!

May is here and I can't wait for the summer to officially start! For me that's going to be May 28 when I head back to Texas for a long vacation! And although all of these products are my April Favs I am pretty positive most of them will be in my suitcase for that trip, too!

What have some of your favorites been for the spring?

Love you lots,
P.S. I'm on the road so I am so sorry this post is a day late! Hotel uploading can be tricky sometimes!!

Pamper your Mama!

One (Pink in Paris) || Two (Nude Lavalliere) || Three || Four || Five || Six (Splash Out) ||
Seven (Cake Hole) || Eight || Nine || Ten || Eleven || Twelve || Thirteen || Fourteen ||

Mother's Day is almost here and I plan to pamper my mom! Mother's Day is a great time to show your mom how much you care, but also to set her up with the tools she needs to relax! My mom works all the time and does so much for my family, even me and I'm in a different state! So for Mother's Day I want to make it possible for her to do nothing, but what makes her happy! In the attempt to find the perfect thing to send my mom I've found a few suggestions to share.

There's nothing like a new lipstick to feel completely pampered and refreshed. I've fallen hard for a few of the YSL shades. The packaging look amazing and the products are so nice on the lips! Pair one of the lipsticks with a pretty pink shade of nail polish! If you can then throw in a mani/pedi that you can go get together! Your mom can throw on these cute sandals after her relaxing pedicure!

My mom loves to run! So I love getting her running accessories. If your mama likes to hit the gym I can't recommend the LuluLemon yoga mats and towels! You can get them in a matching color and they probably my favorites out there. Even if your mom isn't a yogi these mats are great for stretching and ab exercises! Running in the Texas heat is hot so a microfibre towel is a must!

Last but not least a relaxation basket is a great gift! Put a mug with some tea or coffee (depending on what your mama likes to eat), a book your mom loves (mine likes Danielle Steel), and a great candle in a basket or a bag that she can use again! Maybe add some fuzzy socks and a sweet treat to really complete the whole thing.

Also, order a pretty flower arrangement that your mom can enjoy for days after her special day. My favorite online florist is out of San Francisco! Farmgirl Flowers makes the most beautiful arrangements and they come wrapped in burlap. Plus, the arrangements change depending on what flowers are in season so you know you're getting really fresh flowers! If you want to really go all out try the Romy+Richele, not only will your mom get a bouquet, but also a box of amazing SF products!

It's not all about the gift, though. The most important thing is to make sure you express how much you love your mom and how much she's appreciated! Send a card, make a phone call, and make sure she smiles on her day!

Love you lots,

April Unboxed!

I'm on the run this week and two products in this box have been lifesavers! The dark chocolate espresso beans are a perfect pick-me up when I get a little hungry. The dark chocolate is the perfect pairing for the espresso beans. I've never tried a mocha, but I'm assuming these little chocolate bites are the equivalent flavor. SO good!

The other product is the Royal Apothic hand cream. It smells like spring flowers and really helps keep my hands and nails moisturized throughout the day. It's too big for my purse, but it's in my suitcase to use after a long day of being out and about! I really like putting it on right after I do my makeup and then again right before I go to bed.

April is wrapping up so I hope you've had a great month! Let me know which of these products you're most interested in. I'd love to give you my more in-depth reaction now that I've used them!

Love you lots,

March Favorites!

March was a pretty great month! I hope you all enjoyed Easter and the start of spring! I made sure that all of these favorites were springy and could be worn/used/enjoyed the rest of the summer, so I hope there's something here that you love, too!

I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed each of these products. I am currently carrying all of the lip colors in my purse because I don't want to be without the perfect shade. Excessive? Maybe, but it's better than being caught without my fav colors!

 What were your March favorites?

Don't forget to spread some sunlight this month!

Love you lots,

Resort Vacation, Please!

Hey guys! Look what came in the mail!

This is one of PopSugar's Special Edition boxes and while normally I would make an unboxing video, I just posted the March box and thought two in a row might be a little overkill.

So I opened it up, admired all the new treasures that came inside and then laid them out to share with you! I must say that this box wasn't as Resort-y as some of them have been, but the hat and the body scrub have me dreaming of tropical locations.

I never thought I could wear hats, but then I bought one in London last spring and quickly changed my mind! Since then, I've loved the look of a good hat and I can't wait to wear this one to the beach and maybe with a few outfits that have a more boho-vibe. I couldn't find the exact hat on the company's website, but they have a ton of options for straw hats and panama hats!

This little bracelet (similar style) is so cute and is adjustable so it fits! I have small wrists and some of my favorite bracelets (ahhemm.... Kate Spade Bangles) are just too big! I love the pom poms and the blue tones and all the lucky charms! There's a wish bone, a horseshoe and an evil eye (which sounds ominous, but actually is meant to ward off harm). I think this is a great piece to throw on with laid back looks and it's perfect for summer and vacations!

I've always been a fan of Rifle Paper Co. Their products are so cute and I have to keep myself from buying all their notebooks. I girl only needs so many paper products. So I'm super happy these pocket notebooks came in the box because I get to indulge without feeling guilty! I'm obsessed with the pink notebook! The illustrations are so cute! I also really like the passport one and I think I'll use it to plan all of my upcoming summer trips! I love to make list of what to pack and places that I want to visit.
Does anyone else skip straight to the second page in notebooks? I always leave the first page blank!

Ever wondered what summer smells like. Well, I figured it out when I opened this Coconut Citrus Scrub! Exfoliating is so important especially in the summer when your legs are on display so much! I know the last thing I want is to have dull skin in my cute summer dresses and skirts. Plus, it's a must if you're getting a spray tan or using self tanners. I can't wait to use this over the weekend before I head to the pool! With this and a bit of coconut oil, I'll be able to pretend I'm sunkissed!

I'm a magazine junkie and will never turn down a free subscription. I'd never heard of DuJour, but after some research I found out that it's a luxury magazine out of New York. They cover fashion, beauty and lifestyle, so basically like my blog, but with a much larger budget and access to some of the top designers and hottest places in the city. It's a quarterly publication and I can't wait to get mine in the mail. You can get a free subscription here, too!

I am not sure how I feel about this Make Finish Effects Matte Dew palette, but I am definitely going to give it a chance. The directions say to use your fingers to apply the product, but I hate getting makeup on my hands, so that's why I'm a little hesitant. I'm excited for the mattifying effects and I love the colors so I have my fingers crossed that it's good enough to overlook the finger-thing! I'll definitely let you all know how I feel about this product after I've used it for a bit.

Has anyone used it before? I'd love to hear what you thought!

I love this frame! I'm going to wait until I get a new beach picture this summer to fill it! I could print off an old photo, but I'm weird and will probably plan the perfect picture, stage a photoshoot on the beach and then print one off. Yay, for type-A personalities! I'm working on redoing one of the rooms in my house and turning it into an office. I really want a space that I can blog in and be creative! So this frame will probably find a home in there once it's done!

Kara's Cupcakes is one of my favorite places to go on the weekends. I don't go often because if I ate cupcakes as much as I'd like I couldn't fit into my jeans, but they're great. I go to the Oxbow location in Napa, so if you're ever visiting I reccommend giving it a try. These marshmallows are so tasty! I nibbled on one this morning and the coconut flavor is delicious. I drink vanilla espresso and it was a pretty great pairing! They're super sweet though so eat them sparingly. I split mine with my boyfriend because I wasn't feeling an early morning sugar coma.

Who's ready for the weekend!?! Check my Instagram because my new straw hat will definitely be making a poolside appearance!

Love you lots,
