#NSale Outfit: The Perfect Tee

Lush Deep V-Neck Tee || Old Cardigan (Similar #Nsale finds here, here & here) ||

If you buy one thing from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale it needs to be one of these tees! They are $15 and come in quite a few colors! I picked up this green one and then a white and gray, too! The fabric is so incredibly soft and the cut is so flattering! Tees for fall to layer under your sweaters are a must and I usually have to replace these basic pieces every year. So now that these are super affordable it's a great time to update your collection of basic pieces!

I think I spent the most time shopping in the accessories section of the sale because there were so many amazing options! I'm a huge fan of Kendra Scott and this pendant necklace was at the top of my wish list! The light brown option works in with my fall wardrobe so well and I didn't have anything like it. The luminescent shell also adds a little lightness to your outfit and it's so pretty against this hunter green tee! I also am IN LOVE with this bag, but I talked about it in my last post, so check that out because I don't want to gush about it too much!

The bootie selection of the sale is ON POINT!! I bought these Steve Madden booties, but only because I already had a great taupe pair in my closet. I think this style is a must have in your closet. They go with everything from jeans to dresses and these Vince Camuto booties are so great! Like I said, if I didn't already have a similar pair, I would have picked these up!

What are some of your fav sale picks!?

Love you lots,

#NSale Outfit: White Lace

After patiently waiting for my #NSale picks to arrive in the mail there was a big box waiting for me when I got home last night. I was so excited that I immediately opened it and started planning outfits like this one! So expect quite a few posts similar to this one in the coming days. The sale opens to everyone tomorrow, so I'll be styling a ton of stuff so you can all take advantage before prices go up in August. Plus, check back for restocked items as returns come in! Just because it's sold out today doesn't mean it will be in the morning!

This top is one of those items that has sold out, unfortunately. When I was scrolling through the tops (I always need new shirts and blouses) I was so excited when I found this one. It wasn't like anything I had seen on other blogger pages and I was convinced I found a hidden gem of the sale. Of course, a day later it started popping up all over Instagram so that wasn't actually the case. I love that it's a wear now and a layer-with-later piece! I picked up this cardigan and I think this tunic will look so cute under it when fall is here. I ordered a medium, but think a small would totally have been ok — it's very flowy.

I've been lusting after the Jeffrey Campbell Cromwell Booties (and the Orwells) for a while. So when I saw these Steve Madden pair in the sale I jumped quick! It's the same cut out style with a less pointy toe (something that's great when you get into the larger sizes). Plus, it's about $100 cheaper during the sale! I don't own a bootie in this warm caramel/cognac color so it's a great addition to my fall collection.

Which leads perfectly into this matching Vince Camuto bag. I've been searching for a great medium-sized crossbody bag for a while. Most of my bags are much larger or a clutch, so I wanted a great structured piece to carry all the time. When I saw this GORGEOUS bag I knew the splurge (even at the sale price) would totally be worth it. It looks so similar to a Cholé bag, but is considerably cheaper. The suede is so soft and the shape is so classic. And it comes with a dust bag so you can keep it safe and pristine and wear it for years. If you're looking for a piece to spice up your bag collection it also comes in a leopard print, which has been super popular, too!

Check back for more outfits throughout the week!

Dinner and Drinks!

Francesca's White Shift Dress (Old, Similar here, here and here) || Old Navy Jean Jacket ||

I love a good shift dress! Not only are they universally flattering, but it's such a great style to layer with! Of course, this one is white because most of my dresses are, but with the lace bottom this one stands out in my closet. I love when clean cut pieces have a little extra detail to make them special.

These shoes are not part of the #NSale, but they are on sale at Nordstrom. They come in six colors! I grabbed the tan ones, but the black ones are so gorgeous! I feel like these shoes look so uncomfortable, but actually I wore them all night with zero discomfort. It just goes to show that you don't have to sacrifice your feet for pretty heels!

I love my denim jacket. I've been considering picking up a lighter wash version from Madewell for more casual looks. It's such a great way to add a little dimension and warmth to all your summer outfits. This darker wash is great for dressier outfits without going all the way to the blazer level of dressed up!

I hope you all have an amazing Friday night! Grab your friends, get dressed up, put on your favorite lip color (I've been loving this one!) and treat yourself to a fun evening. That's what the summertime is for!

#NSale First Impressions!

The #Nsale started today! I, like everyone else, look forward to this sale every year. It's a great way to stock up on fall pieces early and for a great price. As I live two hours from the nearest Nordstrom and have a full time job, I woke up early to do some online shopping. I will most likely venture into a store later this weekend because I love the in-person experience, but I wanted to make sure that the things on the top of my list didn't sell out early! (Although, they are pretty great about restocking throughout the sale!)

So if you have a Nordstrom credit or debit card you can start shopping immediately!

I noticed that there is a ton of denim in the sale this year, so if you're in need of some new jeans you're in luck! Seriously, there's tons of brands in every style, cut and wash imaginable. If I didn't just replace my jeans I would definitely be taking advantage.

Instead, this year I am focusing on picking up a new bag and some outerwear. The prices on both of those categories really can't be beat and I know that my dollar will be stretched a little further because I'll wear it all season! Last year I splurged on some trendier pieces, but this time around I'm looking for quality over quantity.

What's your first impression of the sale? It runs until August 7 and prices go back up on August 8, so you have some time to mull it all over. Just don't let your favorite pieces sell out!

Love you lots,

Summer Stripes

Old Navy Dress (old, similar here, here, here) || Longchamp Tote ||
Steve Madden Wedges || BaubleBar Monogram Necklace ||

Navy and white in the summer is one of my favorite combinations. I love how crisp it looks and this dress is one of my favorites! I found it a few summers ago and it's survived so many closet clean outs. I can't believe that it hasn't made an appearance on the blog yet. It's a classic cut and I love the stripes. If you have a shorter torso like I do then definitely try a drop waist. I love the silhouette that it creates, plus the gathered bottom adds a great girly touch!

Speaking of classic pieces, I picked up this Longchamp bag in the Paris airport. I've wanted a bag that will hold my laptop and still zip closed and this one has been on my wish list for a while! It's great for travel because it fits SO much!  I've been carrying it to and from work everyday this week. Although, I am happy to be home after traveling so much the last few weeks I can't wait to plan another trip so I can use it as a carry on.

Tomorrow is the first day of the #NSale! I am so excited to find a few new treasures to add to my closet for a great price. Following the trend of this post, my biggest tip for shopping the sale is to find pieces you can wear for years to come. A great trench, the perfect brown riding boots, a great black bag. It's so easy to buy trendy pieces at low prices, but stretch your dollar even further buy sticking to the classics.

Love you lots,

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes

*Psst* Click the picture to find a copy

How long can someone wait to jump on the bandwagon? Well, I waited until the movie came out to actually read the book. Unless you've been living under a rock I am sure you've heard about Me Before You. I definitely have, but I didn't want to see the movie until I gave this NYT Bestseller a chance. I picked it up in the airport and it made for the perfect plane book.

I'm going to be honest, I wasn't as broken after reading this book as everyone said I would be. Then again the only book I ever cried reading was The Book Thief, so maybe that reflects more on me than the story.

This book is a touching love story that follows a caretaker, Lou, and her quadriplegic employer. After a tragic accident Will was paralyzed and his mood and outlook on life took a turn for the worse. Lou, an eccentric girl from a tiny English town, enters the picture. After losing her job and struggling to find work Lou accepts what turns into the adventure of a lifetime. The two turn each others lives upside down. Will trying to convince Lou to spread her wings and experience life to its fullest and Lou trying to convince Will that there's life after his accident.

This book deals with quite a few trigger topics including rape, depression and medically assisted suicide, so readers beware. However, I felt that Jojo Moyes presented all of these issues in a readable and not at all sensational way. She definitely treated all of them with the respect they deserve.

I did find it strange that while I read this book I related more to Will than I did to Lou. I did, however, feel like they were equally strong characters, one knowing his path and refusing to waver and the other refusing to say goodbye to love. In the end, I was happy that Jojo Moyes concluded the book the way she did, but no spoilers here!

There is a sequel, but I've heard mixed reviews. Has anyone given After You a chance? I guess I need to buy my tickets and see the movie now! Thoughts?

Love you lots,

Holy Grail Travel Products!

I love to travel, but I hate forgetting products when I'm packing. So before I left for my trip I went to Target and Ulta and stocked up on all the products that I have to have in my suitcase! Hopefully, you can add one of these to your travel bag this summer. I promise you won't be disappointed!

What are some of your holy grail travel products?

Travel Outfits!

I've spent a lot of time the last few weeks on planes, trains and a few buses. I love to travel and over many, many trips have come to the conclusion that the most important outfit you can plan is the one that you're going to travel in! The trick is finding something comfortable and cute. That way you're comfy sitting on the plane and still selfie ready when you get where you're going.

It is no surprise that I love athleisure! Thank you, Gigi Hadid, for rocking this trend and making sneakers cool again! It's proof that you can wear comfortable pieces without looking sloppy. I love pairing these new sneakers with skinny jeans. These black Joe's Jeans have a lot of stretch in them and I wore them on a ten hour flight to London without feeling the least bit confined. They're like the classier version of your favorite leggings!

I am a sucker for a great pair of Nike sneakers. I have way too many athletic shoes, but never owned a pair like these. They are so cool and look so much better with jeans than a regular pair of running shoes. They went on sale on Net-a-Porter and I ordered them just in time for this vacation! So, of course, they were my go to travel shoe.

I always travel with a coat, cardigan or jacket. I get cold really easily and like having an extra layer on hand. Plus, we were traveling to a colder climate so the extra pieces were useful when we got to Ireland! I also always travel with a large tote bag with a smaller purse inside. That way I have everything I need, but can just pull out the smaller bag when I need the essentials.

Do you have any fun trips planned this summer?

Love you lots,

Dressing the Part!

J.O.A. Lace Up Dress || Coach Peyton Loafers (similar here, herehere) ||

Well... I've been absent for about a week, but now I am back on track. I got back from Paris late Wednesday evening and unfortunately brought a cold home with me. Vacation was amazing and I am so blessed to have been able to take such a fabulous trip. Expect a full recap soon!

When I woke up this morning my cold was worse, my nose was raw, but I had to go to work... so what's a girl to do? Dress the part. Just getting dressed and doing my makeup made me feel a little better. I threw on my favorite new shift dress, some of my favorite loafers and some statement earrings. I didn't want my first day back to be plagued by leggings and a flannel just because I felt bad. (Don't get me wrong, Saturday I am wearing pajamas ALL DAY!)

I am loving the lace up trend that's taken hold this summer. I think it's taken a backseat to the off-the-shoulder trend, but I think it will stick around a little longer. The cut of this dress is so flattering! The shift dress cut hangs beautifully. I also love that it's woven because the texture makes it look so much more expensive than it was (psst... it's on sale). One more added bonus? It has pockets and not the kind that make your hips wider than they really are, but two cute patchwork pockets with a trendy raw edge right on the front!

These shoes have appeared in a few other blog posts (here and here). I found them at Nordstrom Rack last Christmas and my mom loved them so much that she went back and got herself a pair over Memorial Day Weekend. So there's a chance you can still find the exact pair there! This style of loafer and loafers with tassels are HUGE for the fall. I've seen them everywhere for Fall/Winter 2016 outfit planning. I know it's really early to start thinking about your fall wardrobe, but this is a style that I would definitely invest in!

Hope you have an amazing Friday!

Love you lots,
