If you need a closet staple that you will wear over and over you HAVE to buy this tunic! It's on sale, so that's a plus, but it is seriously one of my closet go-to's. I love my white tops so I have a few to compare it to and I wear this one all the time.

I am a sucker for turquoise and have serious buyers regret for not picking up a Kendra Scott turquoise  statement necklace last summer. When I stumbled on this one scrolling through the BaubleBar website I knew I didn't want to regret missing out on two fashion finds. This necklace definitely is heavy, but it's gorgeous and I have a feeling I can style it all summer!

I'm counting down the days until I leave for London! I'll be spending the weekend prepping and packing! What will you be up to?

It's pretty obvious that I love shopping! And my favorite thing to shop for are shoes. So between the awesome sales that have been going on, birthday presents and going out with my mom (she's a huge shoe lover, too! And my mentor in the shoe department) I've reworked my summer closet. I'm putting a ton of stuff on Poshmark later this month, so I needed to replace a few things (keep an eye out).

I'm currently in the mindset of investing in pieces that will last. I'm kind of tired of buying things that wear well once and then fall apart. It's not hard to find cute summer sandals at a cheap price, but finding something that lasts, even if it's more expensive, makes more sense to me. Buy five pairs of gold sandals that get broken or one that will withstand the whole season, you end up spending the same amount of money.

However, you don't have to spend crazy amounts of money to get something great. I've wanted the Tory Burch Lexington Wedges for ever, but even now that they're on sale I can't drop that much on one pair of shoes! A girl's got to go on vacation after all! I talked about some cheaper look-a-likes in this blog post, but I ended up getting this Steve Madden pair. They don't look exact, but they're under $100, leather, and will give a similar look to an outfit. 

I'm also in love with both pair of sandals. The gold pair I wore to my friend's wedding and then on another day with a chambray dress. You can dress them up or down and wear them on those days that you aren't feeling like wearing heels! The black sandals were found by my mom and while they aren't something I normally would go for: I AM IN LOVE! I love my Birkenstocks and these are like the chic, designer version of those. The footbed is basically the same, but the straps and the snakeskin details make them so cool!

There's the classic LBD and the summery version the LWD, but sometimes you need to add a little color to your wardrobe. I definitely needed to jolt my closet back to life. Don't get me wrong, I'm still obsessed with whites, creams and greys, but for this date night (and my brother's graduation a week ago) I picked up this bright red number from Francesca's.

After trying on a ton of different dresses in the boutique with my mom she handed this one through the dressing room curtain and I knew instantly that it needed to be a part of my closet! It's incredibly flow-y and comfortable in the summer heat, but the embroidery and flyaway sleeves make it so stylish! I've worn it with sandals, my Sam Edelman Yardley heels and now these Steve Madden wedges. It would also work great on the beach as a coverup for the perfect beach to bar look!

I shared this pom pom clutch in my Francesca's Haul a few months ago, but it seems to be sold out. (Tuckernuck has an almost identical one on their site, though!) I love that you can just throw your essentials in it and wear it will all your favorite summer outfits. Plus, pom poms are so on trend!

Also, I've worn this lip color almost every day for the last two weeks! If you need an amazing dark, nude pink to add to your collection, Colourpop's Lumiére is the way to go!

Week 3: June Ab Challenge

We're kicking off the third week of the June Ab Challenge! I hope the month has been treating you well! We've done thirteen days of ab exercises, so we are almost halfway there. Are you sticking to the schedule? How's your progress?

I've been feeling great over the last few weeks and have worked so hard to get a workout in every day! It's amazing how quickly adding a daily exercise routine can impact you. And I've found that it's always easier when you're working towards an end goal or sticking to an actual schedule. So print this .pdf out and tape it to a mirror or buy that bikini you've been lusting after and show off all your hard work on July 1!!

10 Gifts for Dad!

Father's Day is right around the corner (a week away actually)! So it's time to start shopping because this is the last weekend to do so! I always want to find the perfect gift that shows my dad how much he means to me, but nothing in a store could really ever describe that. So with that in mind, I try to find something that I know he'll like AND use. My favorite way to give a gift is to make a basket of goodies. Throw in a few smaller "fun" gifts and one that has a little more meaning. For instance, find items that represent your favorite memories and place them around a great family photo! 

I made sure that a lot of these 10 gifts for dad wouldn't break the bank! That way if there's a few things you think he'd love you can grab a couple and make his day really special. Maybe wrap them up in a cooler, tackle box, or humidor instead of a basket. It's an added gift that he'll probably enjoy a little more than a wicker basket or gift bag!

It might be Friday, but technically I wore this on Wednesday and on that day we wear pink! I'm sorry I just couldn't help myself.

As many of you know I do have a day job, so that means finding cute outfits that look summery and fun, but are also appropriate for the work place. Unfortunately, rompers and strappy sundresses aren't really an option during the week. I picked up this linen shirt at J. Crew Factory because I can wear it with flirty skirts, all my summer shorts, and then if I need to cover up: jeans and heels!

These jeans were a one-off find at Nordstrom Rack. I love the fit! I tried a TopShop and a Joe's Jeans pair, but wasn't super thrilled. I put these on and the length was perfect and it was tighter around my ankle than my other white jeans. The straight leg pair I already own are great with flats, but I was searching for a pair like these that look better with heels. I found some similar ones to link, but I'm not certain that they're an exact match.

If you want an awesome summer drink or something to serve at a party around the pool try this: Strawberry Guava Lemonade! My favorite lunch spot was serving it as a special and it was so good on such a warm day! You could add some fresh fruit to it or garnish the glass with a sugar rim and a lemon wedge for a really cute and tasty mocktail!

Hope you all had an amazing month! May went by so fast!! I think it's because I was out of town so much, but I did manage to find some new products that I've been a tad obsessed with over the last 30 days. I tried not to do too much shopping because my birthday was at the end of the month, but I might have treated myself to a few new things. Plus, my parents are so amazing and generous and really spoiled me on my birthday!
